MISSION: Youth Outreach

Mission: Youth Outreach is a unique partnership between Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Boys & Girls Clubs of America providing children from families of reserve and active duty personnel with FREE membership at their local Boys & Girls Club. The Clubs give young people a safe place to go, staffed with caring adults. If you already belong to one of the four Boys & Girls Clubs of Harford County please let your Club Director know you are part of Mission: Youth Outreach.

A Partnership that Works

Times of national crisis can dramatically disrupt a military family’s life. Reserve, National Guard, and Active duty youth need to be able to connect with other youth in similar situations. The partnership delivers physical, emotional, social, and cultural programs for military youth living in civilian communities. Mission: Youth Outreach supports military kids coping with the stress of having a parent or parents deployed by creating a network of youth who can empathize and help them cope with their new world of being suddenly “military”. Through a Joint Military Services initiative, military dependent children ages 6-18 can get pre-paid programs and services through their local Boys & Girls Clubs.

What does a Boys & Girls Club offer?

  • Character and Leadership Development
  • Education and Career Development
